Most of the people living in this world are in bondage and are afflicted with hunger and diseases. The Spirit is willing but the body is weak. They want to live righteously, but the society does not permit them. Even if left alone, they want to be free. In spite of laboring hard, the earning does not profit, but wastes away. Such is agony of the heart of many. The Lord reveals His concern for mankind when He says, "Assuredly, I say unto you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me" (Mathew 25:40). With this in mind, to give food to the hungry, to quench the thirst of the thirsty, to admit the alienated, to give clothing to the unclad, to help the diseased, and to meet those who are imprisoned, the "New Life Society" was established on 08.01.1995 in the premises of "Jesus Redeems" at Nalumavadi. By His grace we are also able to start a branch in Sivakasi also.

This Society has been registered under Society Act of 27/75 and has been functioning with the Registration No.12/95 in various parts of Southern Region of Tamilnadu. Weekly and monthly campus are been conducted regularly in Nalumavadi, Sivakasi and Pavoorchatrum.

• Treatment is given with prayer by physicians after due enquiry
• Counseling is done by the children of God
• All medicines are given free of charge

Free Medical Camps for Skin and Eye diseases and diabetics deduction are conducted frequently. Free Medical Camps are also conducted in the neighboring villages as opportunities arise.

Apart from them, patients of all ages suffering from various disease like worm infection, asthma, anemia and skin allergies benefited by it.

To make a beginning free tricycles were distributed to 10 disabled persons. We have welfare schemes for the orphan children, for the old, for the mentally retarded and the widows.

"Then Jesus put out His hand and touched the leper, saying I am willing be cleansed immediately his leprosy was cleansed." Mat 8:3(NKJV). As Jesus had burdened upon the lepers and healed them when He was in the earth, we are also helping the lepers in "St.Luke's Leprosarium, Peikulam" both spiritually and materially. Every year we are encouraging them with Christmas gifts, dress and Christmas messages.

NEEDS OF THE SOCIETY

When we consider the state of the society and the situation in our country, what we are doing is pretty little. We have planned to implement various new schemes and those that we do should be done properly.

As we enjoy healthy food, beautiful clothes, protective dwelling and nice provisions, many in our Nation have not even experienced such goodness for a single time. Shall we not uphold them by our sacrificial giving!
